Here is a photo from inside the office at Oro Loma School. It seems as if someone went out and picked all the stuff they wanted and left a big mess everywhere else. What a shame. I love how the light started shining through this window.

This is a photo of a window opening with some bars. It is from the hotel in Palm Desert.

I recently installed Windows 7 on my computer and I love the cool new features. One feature that I find interesting is the Facial Recognition Software In Windows Live Photo Gallery. It is pretty scary once you start to tag people in photos. Once it starts to recognize photos it hits some faces dead on.

I recently finished creating the site for Mary Allen. She is happy and it looks great. I love her work. If anyone is interested in viewing more of her art please check out her site. We are still working on perfecting it some more but we are close. Â
I pretty much had her purchase the domain name and I installed WordPress 2.8 on her host and we were in business very quickly. I did some customizing and it is almost done. I went over to their home last week and was able to install Windows Live Writer for them. I love how easy the program is for updating your blog. I showed them the Dashboard and how to manage the site. We still have some work to do but that the hard part is done.
I also want to mention that her husband Dink does some very beautiful custom framing on photos, paintings and anything that you want to put in a picture frame. Check them out!
Recently, I upgraded my computer to Vista Ultimate. I must say that it has been a very cool move. I first backed up my entire system before I did anything using a program called Storage Craft which I must say works great.Â
Once I had the backup I was ready to make the move. The look and feel of Vista is pleasing to the eyes. It does some wear and tear to the memory though. I have about 2Gigs of Ram in my machine and am already looking at upgrading it to 4 because of the amount that Vista sucks up.Â
Vista has some really cool features for photographers. One is the Windows Photo Gallery. Viewing pictures in Vista does seem a bit prettier on the eyes. It somehow gives the photos a look to them. The built in slide show feature that is similar to the one in Windows XP is a lot easier to view.Â
I did however encounter some issues with some hardware and software. I came across an issue with Adobe Encore 1.5 so now I am forced to upgrade to a newer version. I also came across an issue with my Epson R1800 Photo printer. It turns out that the FireWire port on the back of the printer is not compatible with Vista but the USB port worked just fine. I also came across an issue with my Creative Sound card but I am working on resolving that issue with Creative.Â
If you have any experiences with Vista that you would like to share with the rest of us please feel free to do so. I am sure there are others out there that are kind of hesitant about making the move but it is something that has to happen. Windows 7 is supposed to be coming out soon and I am sure we will feel the same about that one like we did about Vista.
