This is a little sample of some weddings, birthdays that we have done in the past as far as a videographer. I am planning on uploading a video slideshow of our photography work. The quality on the video is a little grainy because we compressed the video so it would upload quicker.

This is a photo of the Bride and Groom that I photographed a wedding for my wife’s cousin in Anaheim. It was a beautiful ceremony and the shots were great. This was my first wedding and I went out and bought a 580EX flash from Canon just because I wasn’t sure how my shots would come out without it. It worked great except the battery couldn’t hold a charge so it didn’t last the whole night. I took it back and got a new one.

I was doing some research on the wedding I am doing on Saturday and I came across a list of the top 10 Wedding photographers from PopPhoto.com. PopPhoto has this article that I guess they do every year called the Top 10 Wedding Photographers 2009. The articles is very interesting and contains a lot of work from different photographers from all over.
I came across a very impressive Photography company called Del Sol Photography. These guys are amazing. I love every single picture. The atmosphere just seems to be perfect. I love the Sol Tamargo collection. It has so many amazing wedding photos. The people in the photos just seem so natural. I wonder if the photographers had to instruct them at anytime.
If anyone else knows anymore great wedding photographers out there and they are not on the list then I would love to hear about them.

I have a couple of events that are scheduled for this week already. Things have been starting to pick up. I have the Quarterly DeVry Graduation Photos coming on Thursday in Fresno and I have a wedding scheduled for Saturday. I am a little nervous about both events because I don’t have Pictage to use for the DeVry photos like I did before and I know it made things so much easier. I plan on using a separate blog site for them so that I can keep track of which student wants what. For the wedding, I am nervous because it is going to be an evening wedding and I haven’t done something like that and its going to be outside. They promise to have a lot of light and so we will see how the thing goes. I will upload some photos of both once they are complete. The photo above is from the graduating class last year.
Recently, I was talking with a teacher at the Dos Palos High School about photography. She commented about a photographer that has just opened up her own studio in town. I thought that was great that there are students out there that are given this talent of capturing special moments with their camera.
Amy Miller is the name of the photographer and Amy if you are out there please feel free to signup and share some of your work and experience. I always love to hear and see what other photographers are up to. I know she just finished opening up her business and would love to help you out in any way possible.
If there are any other photographers that are out there that would love to share their experiences and wisdom with the rest of us then please feel free to do so. I am always looking for ideas to share on the site so if you have some then please feel free to share them. I recall doing an article about the war photographer Jonathan Alpeyrie who has done a lot of work in some of the scariest places. He actually contacted me and had me do a post of some of his work from China. I lost that post when my blog site crashed. I hope to get it back up soon.
If you are interested in getting wedding photos, senior portraits and more and you are in Amy’s area or want her to come to yours then contact her about an appointment.
Amy let me know if it is okay to share your studio information on this site. I wouldn’t want to do it without your consent.

Recently I did a post about people using Pictage. I was offered a trial of Pictage for $1 a month and knew that if I didn’t take the trial now that I might be missing something. I must say the site is very simple to use. It gives you easy ways to pre-schedule events and share the information with your clients. You can also customize price packages for certain events so that everyone is not using the same price style as others. It is very cool. I have a couple of events already pre-scheduled and cant wait to get more information uploaded. I will keep you posted on my experience. So far I still don’t see a reason to pay the normal $99 a month but maybe it will pay off.

Well, I think it is official. Wedding Season is over. I don’t see very many weddings going on in the Fall and it is such a shame. I think the Fall is the best time for weddings because of the beautiful light that is available. It just seems that the light is cleaner and more brilliant during the Fall. I usually get all of my wedding events booked during the summer but would love to do one during the winter. If anyone is interested let me know and I can arrange a demo of my work.
Anyone with wedding events coming up, I would love to see some of the work afterwards.

I recently was doing some research on trying to find a good company that can take some of the load off from me having to do all the photo editing, printing and all that stuff, and I came across a company called Pictage. It seems like a very impressive company that can handle a lot of work. I found that they offer a lot of services and it seems like the marketing for your business is also done by them giving you a lot of power. Your customers get a well designed site and impressive work to look at and order. The price is a little steep for an amateur photographer but if you can begin to earn the money quickly with them then it is going to be well worth it. If anyone out there has used or is using Pictage I would love to hear some feedback from you. I know a lot of professionals are using it and would just like to share with others about it.
