American Photo and Model Mayhem are giving photographers a chance to build up their portfolios by allowing them to photograph real models. For one day there will be 20+ models in Los Angeles, CA. All you need to do is bring your camera. Everything else is taken care of. The cost to attend the shoot is $279 and the event will be sold out so hurry up and register.
The event will be on March 26th, 2011 from 9am – 5pm.

OneModelPlace.com is proud to present a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity with "Shoot the Centerfold", a Photographers Seminar on January 30th at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Ft Lauderdale.
This informative seminar is being conducted by three of the most respected photographers in the industry, Playboy photographers Arny Freytag (LA), David Mecey (LA), and Jarmo Pohjaniemi (Miami) . Together, these talented artists have more than 80 years combined experience shooting for Playboy Magazine.
For the first time, they have agreed to share their knowledge and industry secrets to aspiring photographers. A special arrangement has been made by OneModelPlace.com to offer preferred pricing for this one-day event.
Enrollment for Shoot the Centerfold is $495.00 and admission is limited.
This is a seminar dedicated to teaching a Playboy style lighting, posing and other techniques unique to the Centerfold photographer. For those of you who would like to shoot, you will have a limited time to photograph one of our models with the photographers’ assistance. Produce an outstanding image for your portfolio!

I have been doing some work on researching the best way to manage and keep track of your portfolio when working with models. I came across a couple of different sites now from when I first did my post about Model Management (which was lost when my WordPress crashed earlier this year).

This was probably my first attempt at creating multiple shots of the same person in the same shot. I did this with Adobe Photoshop after I had just finished taking some photos of Joseph Marquez. Remember, I have not taken any Adobe Photoshop training at all along with no Photography training! All learn as I go!
This photo was taken back in 2007 with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.
Thanks for reading everyone and I hope you have a great weekend. Don’t forget, next week I will be showing off some of my photos from Mexico to help celebrate the Mexican Independence Day. (Although its late, but oh well, better late than never!)
Thanks for reading!

I am thinking of doing something similar with my interviews that I did with photographers and do something geared towards models. I thought it would be interesting to see what the models experience in their work and see how they have managed to survive the recession.
I have only worked with a couple of models and plan to interview them as well but I would love to get some feedback from you readers as to what kind of questions you would like me to ask the models.
If you or someone you know is a model and would be interested in doing the interview then please let them know so we can get them interviewed and published.
Thanks for reading,
Manuel Perez

Seniors, don’t forget to get your Senior Portraits taken. If you are interested please give me a call at (559) 933-7355 or contact me via email. We took this photo of these two girls over by the rodeo grounds. The colors were perfect in the background. Â
Senior Portraits are available anytime at Perez Studios. We can come to you or you can come to us. Anyplace you want to take your portraits is fine by us.
