This is some work that was done by Abiam Alvarez who is my wife’s cousin. He has some amazing detail in his work. He specializes in Ceramic and Painting. I did a post on him and how much do you think his work should cost but never heard back from anyone. I would love to see if anyone else out there would like to tell me how much they would pay for this type of work. I took this photo with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT using my Canon 28-135mm lens and studio lights.

This is a photo of a candle that I photographed at my sister-in-laws birthday party. I used a longer shutter time so that I could get more detail from the candle.

This is a photo of the Bride and Groom that I photographed a wedding for my wife’s cousin in Anaheim. It was a beautiful ceremony and the shots were great. This was my first wedding and I went out and bought a 580EX flash from Canon just because I wasn’t sure how my shots would come out without it. It worked great except the battery couldn’t hold a charge so it didn’t last the whole night. I took it back and got a new one.

Well, I think it is official. Wedding Season is over. I don’t see very many weddings going on in the Fall and it is such a shame. I think the Fall is the best time for weddings because of the beautiful light that is available. It just seems that the light is cleaner and more brilliant during the Fall. I usually get all of my wedding events booked during the summer but would love to do one during the winter. If anyone is interested let me know and I can arrange a demo of my work.
Anyone with wedding events coming up, I would love to see some of the work afterwards.

This is another example of proper lighting, aperture speed, and a steady hand. I took this photo with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and my Canon 28-135mm lens. I took this photo at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the Jellyfish exhibit.

I think that lighting is the key to every photograph. If you have too much then your photos tend to be washed out with all the light. If you don’t have enough then your photos come out too dark. If you can master your camera and learn how it reacts with certain lenses to light then you can truly master the way you and your camera takes pictures.
I took this photo with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and my Canon 28-135mm lens. I didn’t use any flash just the natural light that was there. I had a bit of a long shutter speed so that I could get the effect of the Carousel spinning in motion. I took this photo at the mall in Irvine.
