Restaurante On The Rio Dulce

Here is a photo of a Restaurante that is on The Rio Dulce in Guatemala. We stopped at this place on the way back from a trip out to the Gulf and the food was great. The Gift Shop makes it easy to grab some food and get something for that person back home. The place is well maintained and looks sanitary. The food was awesome and I thought the view was also great as the place is just out in the open. There aren’t too many walls. Just enough to keep the roof up and that’s basically it.

Vegetation

How do you decorate or express yourself in your work place? Some might choose plants or photographs to display in their work place to express the way the person feels but I just wanted to get some feedback from you and see what comments come up. This Palm Tree looking plant was growing outside of a restaurant in Guatemala and I thought it was a cool way to decorate the place but of course they grow all over the area there but I chose a different method of decorating my work space. I have a couple of plaques that were given to me when I was in the Marine Corps. One, is my Iron Monster which was given to me by 1st Tank Battalion. This means a lot to me because it was where I spent my first three years in the Corps. The other is a plaque given to me by 1st Stinger Battery, Communications Platoon. This also means a lot because it was given to me by my last unit before I got out. So, what do you hang in your office?

Bright Colors In The Garden

Here is a photo of what looks like a fern but like it is trippin’ on ACID or something. I photographed this while I was in Guatemala with my church back in 2006. If anyone knows what it is called and where it is from (origin) please leave a comment.

Show Me Your Stripes

This beautiful flower is sure showing its stripes in this photo taken while I was in Guatemala with my church in 2006. We stopped at a restaurant near the bridge near Lake Izabal. It seems like everything there is full of beautiful nature and flowers like these just sprout up right out of the ground. I am not sure what they are called but they are simply amazing. If you know what they are called and want to share with us a comment about the name and origin of this flower then please feel free to.
