This is a photo of a flower that is in the middle of the gardens next to the mission in San Juan Bautista, California. I went on the field trip with my daughter to view the mission. It had been more years than I can remember since the last time I have been there. Very interesting place and lots of history.

This is a photo that I took of “The Passion Flower”. I took this photo while I was visiting San Juan Bautista, California and saw this beautiful flower. I didn’t know the name of it until my wife told me what it was called. Very beautiful name and very beautiful flower. As you can tell it gets its name from Jesus Christ. Amazing!

I shot this photo while I was visiting The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. I got to travel along with the school that I worked for a while back and we went to visit the house. It was a nice tour. We ventured off into the garden and it had just finished raining really good. I snapped this photo of this nice red rose with my Minolta Dimage 5. I must say that the house is full of mystery and is interesting if you are into art and mystery.

I took this photo of these flowers just outside of my mother-in-law’s home. I used a black backdrop and no flash. I used the sunlight which just happened to be above. I used my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I am not sure what type of flowers they are but I am always open to knowledge. If you know please let me know.

If anyone is interested in shooting some California Poppy’s it is almost time. The California Poppy Reserve is located in Mojave Desert and is about 15 miles west of Lancaster. The 1,790 acre piece of land is usually full of the flowers from mid-March to mid-May.
This flower photo was taken from the Birdmom Website which can be located at http://www.birdmom.net. I plan on trying to attend the amazing view of the flowers around that time. I always love seeing the beauty of the desert.

This is a photo of an old run down house inside the village near Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. This doorway kind of reminded me of a simple getaway to another world. I liked the way the flowers set the scene. I snapped this photo using my Minolta Dimage 5.

This is a photo of a humming bird that I saw while hiking up to the Golden Gate Bridge from the park at the bottom of it. I seen the bird from a distance but didn’t have the right lens to get closer. I tried to focus to keep it clear but I guess it is one of the reasons why I wear glasses. I am blind already and I am trying to focus on something I can barely see. I shot this photo with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT using the Canon 28-135mm lens.

This is a photo of an orange flower that I took at Lake Tahoe. I used my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and my Sigma 70-300mm lens. I had the lens stuck in the Macro setting and couldn’t get it out so I just shot it the way it was. My family was in a hurry so I needed to run. I think the picture came out beautifully. I am not sure exactly what kind of flower it is but if you know please let me know. Thanks!

This photo of this beautiful flower I took with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I took this photo with my Canon 28-135mm lens. This flower was outside of my mother-in-law’s home. I seen it and it had been growing for some time and I knew it was ready to be photographed when it was in full bloom. Very beautiful.

This photo was taken with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT using the Sigma 70-300mm lens. I took this photo while on mission in Honduras. We went up to Guatemala and took a ride on the “Rio Dulce”. This is a very beautiful place and full of life.
