This is a photo that my good friend Johnny Grays took while visiting Pompeii, Italy just this weekend.
This is a photo of some men working in a field. The field was an old tomato field that they are stripping of all the irrigation lines that were buried in the field. They are using a John Deere tractor to help pull the irrigation lines out of the ground. I took this photo on my way to work one morning. I used Adobe Photoshop to convert it to Black and White.
Yosemite is home to some of the biggest trees in the world but if you havent seen them then now is your time to get up there and see it for yourself. Trees that are so big people back in the day made paths through them to drive. That is pretty big. This one here seems to have been dead for some time now. I think it is about 15 feet high on its side. I cant imagine how tall it used to be when it was on its base. I snapped this photo with my Minolta Dimage 5.
This is a photo of a hallway in the middle of the city of Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. This city is so amazing. It has so much history. I love how everything is just so busy and full of life. I have a thing for photos that have this old look to them. I always like to see photos in black and white or in an antique sort of color. This photo was taken with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT using my Canon 28-135mm lens. I took this photo in Los Angeles at the train station there. Very nice area filled with history and architecture. I took the same photo and put it into Microsoft Picture It and gave it an Antique look. Which do you think looks better?
This is a photo of Toulomne Meadows just above Tioga Pass in California. Very nice place. It is peaceful and full of fresh air. I went on a road trip one day and we went over to Yosemite, then up through Tioga Pass and then over to Mammoth Lakes, then over to Lake Tahoe. It was a long drive but I think it was well worth it. I took this picture with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and the Canon 17-55mm lens.
