Hello Photographers and Readers! I am planning some ideas for the future and one of them is to get some more detailed information from photographers by doing an interview with them. Of course this interview wont be televised but I do plan on posting the questions and answers.
I have some questions put together already and want to get any ideas on what kind of information do you want to know about your favorite photographer. If you have an idea on how to get some more publicity for this idea then let me know. I really hope to get as many photographers involved as possible.
Once I begin to get some feedback from others, I will begin posting the results from the interviews. If you are know of anyone who is interested in doing the interview please let me know. If you have a favorite photographer that you would like to have interviewed then let me know who they are and I will see if they are interested.

Thank you all for reading!

I recently stumbled upon a website that allows people to work from home doing the jobs they do best. Elance.com has a lot of different job types available for users to work at. From Digital Webpages to Hardware setups. It is free for the basic user which allows you to connect with employers. The site also has some other plans which allows you more opportunities a month to connect with employers and more skills added to your profile. The basic plan gives you five skills that employers can view on your profile and see if you are capable of handling the job. The site also allows you to post job openings to hire your own person for the desired job.
I had been working on another site for side jobs and this one was mainly for computer hardware repairs which I have been doing a lot lately. I have been turning down more jobs in the Modesto area though because the location is too far for me to drive for too little pay. The site is Service Live and they work really great although the locations they support are farther than I would like.

This is another photo from my good friend Johnny Grays while he was visiting Pompeii, Italy.
Very Nice Photo that I found on flickr. Amazing Light detail!

I recently finished creating the site for Mary Allen. She is happy and it looks great. I love her work. If anyone is interested in viewing more of her art please check out her site. We are still working on perfecting it some more but we are close.
I pretty much had her purchase the domain name and I installed WordPress 2.8 on her host and we were in business very quickly. I did some customizing and it is almost done. I went over to their home last week and was able to install Windows Live Writer for them. I love how easy the program is for updating your blog. I showed them the Dashboard and how to manage the site. We still have some work to do but that the hard part is done.
I also want to mention that her husband Dink does some very beautiful custom framing on photos, paintings and anything that you want to put in a picture frame. Check them out!
Hello All!
It has been a while since my last update but I have been very busy with a lot on my plate. I kind of wish my mom had made two of me so that I can get twice the amount of work done.
Anyways, I have been busy with the Police Activities League Photos and the FAST 2009 Swim Team Pictures. I just finished ordering the photos yesterday after doing all of the editing. I am glad it is done. I still have to prepare the envelopes and packages for the photos but that is easier than the photo editing.
I have one major project coming up and it is not until next month. A friend of mine has a brother that will be celebrating their 25th birthday. I will be videotaping the event. There is supposed to be food, mariachis and a DJ. We will see how the event turns out.
I have also been working on a website for a good friend of mine. They wanted something to be able to post their work on to. I have a skeleton site up and running after they purchased the domain and hosting plan. The site is http://maryallenscountrycolors.com. I invite you all to check it out and let me know what you think.
I have also been working on some evaluating projects. I mentioned before about how much I love Adobe Lightroom and I must say it is great but I was also curious as to see if there was a program out there that a photographer can use to take the photograph from the camera and actually keep track of what type of package the person in the photograph is ordering. Something like a portrait program that a school photographer would use. I am trying to find an easier way to keep track of the kid in the photograph and what they ordered and when it comes time to order just run a report that tells me what and how many to order. If anyone has something similar to what I am looking for I would surely appreciate the name and where I can get my hands on it.
Thanks and stay tuned for future updates.

I was at my local Costco store one day and I was looking at the Magazine rack just before checking out. I saw some interesting magazines for graphic design artists. The magazine that I bought was Advanced Photoshop. It was pretty pricey also. The cost was about $25.00 for the one issue. I picked it up and took it home and started looking at the content that was in it. Very helpful if you are interested and skilled in Adobe Photoshop. I started doing some more research on the actual publisher that publishes the magazine and noticed that they have a large variety of magazines geared for many different hobbies. From Photoshop to video games they have it all. I am not sure if they would hook you up with a discount on the prices if you ordered more than one magazine but the price for the subscription to Advanced Photoshop is £80.00, which calculates to about $122.40 US Dollars. The magazine comes with some tutorials and even some CD/DVD that has materials on it to recreate the tutorials. That is still pretty pricey for a magazine but I am not sure how many of you out there actually read this stuff, but I would love to hear back from you.
If you are interested in picking up a subscription go to http://www.imaginesubs.co.uk/ and signup. If you are able to get a discount for getting multiple subscriptions I would love to hear how much. To go to the actual Advanced Photoshop Magazine website click here.
This work was done by Abiam Alvarez who is my wife’s cousin. Very interesting work. I am working with him to create a webpage and get some of his work sold. We were kind of wondering how much to charge for this kind of work. If anyone has any idea on a price please let me know so that we can get it sold. If anyone is interested in seeing more of his work please let me know. If anyone is interested in buying something let me know. I took this photo with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT using my Canon 28-135mm lens.
