Hello Everyone!
Sorry it has been so long since my last post! I have been busy editing the video for the 50th Anniversary that I shot last week. I am finished and just putting the DVD Menu together.
I have worked with a lot of people. My Sister-In-Law always claims that I never do a good job with Adobe Photoshop when editing people’s faces. I always tell her that it takes time and money to make the picture perfect. I was working on one picture for this mother that wanted her son’s picture taken for graduation. I snapped his photo but noticed that he had really bad acne. The mother didnt mention anything about fixing his face but I went ahead and did it anyway.
Here is the before picture:

Here is the after picture:

I used Adobe Photoshop to get rid of the spots and scars on his face. I then used Microsoft Digital Image 9 to convert the picture to an Antique look and adjust the colors and brightness.
What is your take on photo retouching? Let me know I am always interested in your comments!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackFacial touch up is a fact of life when working with models, and I have worked with a lot of models. In the examples you have given, the sepia photo looks washed out, but that could just be the resolution on my monitor. I like aging photos, but the difference between doing that on a computer and in the darkroom is amazing. I’d opt for the darkroom anyday. Just my humble opinion.
Bobbi,
thanks for the comment! Yes it is washed out some! I should have just used a little less light! I have never worked in a darkroom but plan to one of these days!
