Key To Writing Better Blog Posts

August 20th, 2010 No comments

I came across this article today in my Google Reader that interested me.  It was an article written by Daniel Scocco on how to write better blog posts.  I thought it would be a great idea since I only have about 6 actual readers according to FeedBurner.  I thought, I need to do anything and……well, almost everything to get your attention.

I think it is still amazing that in order to keep your page alive you need to have visitors…and I mean visitors that actually are alive and breathing.  I have plenty of those but just need more feedback from the readers.  I see that according to the article it says that it is nice to Link to other posts and pages.  Google scans your posts and grades your site according to the links and tons of other information.  From how slow it loads up to how many keywords it has.  It grades it all and gives you a score.

Of course there are other sites that offer the ability to grade your site and give you feedback as to what you need to fix in order to make the grade.  I came across one after reading an article that mentioned a site that would check your site for a grade.  I checked mine and it came back with a bunch of issues and not to mention a poor grade.  I thought, well, I need to do better.

I wondered how do you readers prefer the content that I provide to you?  Do you like or dislike the photos, the text or just everything?  What would you prefer?

I came across some other articles in my Google Reader that I am subscribing to that are just photos.  I know they say a picture says a thousand words but how does a search engine see the photo and know what is in the picture?  I know all about the tags and all that but I have heard that Search Engines actually look for text in order to know what they are looking at.  I would love to just share photos with you all but I am not sure if that would satisfy you all.

So, here is your chance to give me some of your feedback and let me know what is it you are all looking for.  According to the results on how a majority of you are coming here is either to look at Models or Victoria’s Secret Models.  If you came here on another note then I appreciate your visit and would seriously love to hear back from you.

Thanks for reading!

Manuel Perez
