This is a photo of a set of buildings. I took this shot while I was in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. We had just finished seeing a lot of the city and were getting ready to call it a day. I took this photo with my Minolta Dimage 5.

This is a photo of a flower that is in the middle of the gardens next to the mission in San Juan Bautista, California. I went on the field trip with my daughter to view the mission. It had been more years than I can remember since the last time I have been there. Very interesting place and lots of history.

This is a photo of a miniature train that my former supervisor was able to get us a ride on a while back. It is amazing how much detail they put in these trains. The logs even look like real tree trunks but are actually smaller pieces of wood. You can see the scale by looking at the people in the background. If anyone has some similar photos and would like to share them please let me know.

This is a photo of an old abandoned factory that is just outside of New Idria. If you have not seen this place it is something to see at least once in your lifetime. I had been there once when I was a kid and I had mentioned it to my wife and we drove up to see it. I guess the place has been abandoned for some time now. It used to be used for some old mining purposes.

This is a photo of some men working in a field. The field was an old tomato field that they are stripping of all the irrigation lines that were buried in the field. They are using a John Deere tractor to help pull the irrigation lines out of the ground. I took this photo on my way to work one morning. I used Adobe Photoshop to convert it to Black and White.

This is a photo of a pillar that I photographed while I was in Central America in Honduras. This pillar stands just outside the church where we stayed at most of the time while in San Pedro Sulas. I love the detail in the photo.

This is an old photo of myself that was taken on my first field operation while in the Marine Corps. My job was a Field Radio Operator and I was attached to 1st Tank Battalion, H&S Company, Communications Platoon. I was in Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California. My first mission was to create a Re-Transmit Site on the top of an observation point. It was an easy task and we managed to survive the whole mission without getting killed so that was good.
Anyone have any photos to share of themselves when they were in the military please do. I would love to see them.

This is a photo that I took of “The Passion Flowerâ€. I took this photo while I was visiting San Juan Bautista, California and saw this beautiful flower. I didn’t know the name of it until my wife told me what it was called. Very beautiful name and very beautiful flower. As you can tell it gets its name from Jesus Christ. Amazing!

This is a photo of a candle that I photographed at my sister-in-laws birthday party. I used a longer shutter time so that I could get more detail from the candle.

This is a new server that the other Network Engineer is working on at work. He is building this thing from scratch. I know it has something like two Intel Quad Core Processors and I think about 16GB of RAM and a 4.5TB RAID 5 Drive Configuration. This would be a great setup for my photos. I need something to archive my photos onto and also for my backups.
