I recently began using Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom and I must say that I am impressed. It is a very powerful tool that allows you to import and manage your photo library. I like the way it will allow you to customize the import options so that you are in control. It also lets you keep control of your photos’ location by keeping them where they are. This can be bad because if you move or rename any file or folders then you will have lost the connection from Lightroom and it will delete the file. I haven’t got too far into the nitty gritty but I am running out of space on my machine and cant have all of my photos on the same drive so I will try to experiment with importing files from CD/DVD and see how that works.Â
I do love one feature and that is the ability to write meta data to the photos. You can add keywords and tags straight from the program or the import. It all depends on you.Â
If anyone hasn’t had a chance to play with Lightroom yet, I highly suggest it. It might make your photography career move a lot smoother. If anyone is already using Lightroom and would love to share their feedback on it, then please let us hear about it.

This is a picture of a butterfly that I took while camping up in the Yosemite area. I saw this butterfly flying around flapping his wings open and closing. I had only a portion of a second to try to catch him with his wings open. This is as good as I got.

Recently, I got the chance to visit San Juan Bautista. I must say it is a piece of work. Not very much to do but very nice stuff to see. I went one time when I was a little kid but I never can recall actually going. The place was full of kids from a bunch of school field trips that were going on. If you are planning on going I would suggest you call ahead and see when is their time with the least amount of people.

This is a photo of some Artichokes. I took this photo while I was visiting Casa De Fruta. I haven’t personally tried these but they look good the way people eat them sometimes. I know I used to watch people order them up and put all kinds of fixing’s on them. I really am not a fan of greens but I have been working on it to improve my health. Anyone love to share some recipes or ideas on these artichokes feel free to do so.

This is a photo of two Mallard Ducks that were swimming in the pond at Casa De Fruta. I love to see animals together. I had heard that the Mallard Duck is one that will find a mate and will never find another. I don’t know if that is true according to some reading. If anyone else has more information, we would love to hear it.
