Ivan has mentioned that he wants to have a BBQ for the class on June 27, 2009 at the Roeding Park in Firebaugh.  If anyone is interested in more details contact us or get a hold of Ivan. 

We are still not sure what time the event is going to take place but there is a cost involved because Ivan wants to use the private side of the park and to supply for the food.

At the reunion it seemed just like old times.  Everybody was back in their groups reminisce about old times and things that have come up since then.  Who got married, who did this and how many kids they had.  It was fun to catch up with everyone.  It was also fun to see who had changed the most and who still looked the same.  I cant recall who might have changed the most but maybe someone else will remember.  Please feel free to comment.

I thought it was great that the class had a remembrance of Otto Rice and other classmates that passed away either before or after graduation.  Otto Rice was one student who passed away in the fourth grade during a game of football.  He died here in Firebaugh at the Arthur E. Mills Elementary school.  Above you see the picture with Otto’s parents on the right and Nicole holding a photo of Otto.  Left you have Oswaldo and next to him you have Ivan.  Below is Otto’s parents.  It was nice to meet them.  I recall riding the bus with Otto in school.  I was in the fifth grade when he passed and was present when the incident occurred. 

I finally had a chance to copy the photos over to the web and will begin posting the pictures from the reunion.  I will try to post them all but if you want to see yours let me know and I will move it to the top. 

This past Saturday we celebrated our 10 year reunion a year late.  I think it was a great success.  There was some food, music, and lots of friends and laughs.  Ivan did a great job of organizing everyone but not everyone was able to attend.  We are developing this site so that we will not have something like that again.  Share this site with everyone from the class so that we can have people signup for updates.  We want to use this site to share ideas, plans for future get togethers.  If you have an idea and want to share it let us know.  You can signup to read all of the future posts to this site.
